Comparaison des complexes cristallographiques gp120/CD4 (a) et gp120/mini-CD4 (b). Les structures sont représentées en ruban, la gp120 en vert, le CD4 en jaune et la boucle « hotspot du site de liaison » en rouge. Les chaînes latérales de Phe43 pour le CD4, et de Phe23 pour le mini-CD4, soulignent le cœur de l’interaction. Pour plus de clarté, l’anticorps 17b a été omis (codes PDB : (a) 1RZK ; (b) 1YYM).
