This Laboratory, composed of four research teams having a strong expertise in peptidic and pseudo-peptidic synthesis, is investigating the following fields :
-    synthesis of inhibitors and of dedicated probes for the functional studies of the Zinc metalloprotease family
-     design and synthesis of mini-proteins mimicking the activity of proteins in human pathologies
-     development of new proteic ligands used as specific probes in molecular imaging studies
-    characterization of the cellular immune response and of the immunogenicity of therapeutic proteins

The understanding of protein-ligand interactions at the molecular level (a) allows the design of small size molecular mimes, mini-protein (b) or pseudo-peptide (c).
