General presentation

MIRCen (Molecular Imaging Research Center) is a preclinical research facility developped by the CEA and INSERM.

The facility, located in the CEA research center in Fontenay-aux-Roses, gathers several platforms dedicated to the development of relevant animal models of human disease and to the evaluation of novel therapies primarily in the field of neurodegenerative diseases, but also infection and heart diseases.

These platforms of of 8500 m² gather complementary expertises and methodologies that are open to academic and industrial research community at the national and th einternational level (see application to platform form).

In MIRCen, a hundred scientists, engineers, technicians, clinicians and students of the CEA, Inserm, CNRS and Henri Mondor Hospital conduct research programs (see Neurodegenerative diseases laboratory) or provide a high level expertise within the platforms (see platforms).

MIRCen is affiliated with the GiS IBISA (infrastructures in biology, healthcare and agronomy, http://www.ibisa.net/plateformes/MIRCen,120.html).
