National Networks

MIRCen is a founding member of the « Institut fédératif de recherche en imagerie neurofonctionnelle » ( IFR 49). MIRCen is also a member of the « Neuropôle de recherche francilien » (NeRF) and of the« Réseau Thématique de Recherche Avancée » Ecole des Neurosciences Paris Ile-de-France (ENP).

MIRCen also develop several research projects funded by the “Agence Nationale de la Recherche” ( ANR).

International Networks

Framework Program 6 (FP6)

  • DiMI The goal of this Network of Excellence is to integrate multidisciplinary research for the development of new probes and multimodal non-invasive imaging technology for early diagnosis, assessment of disease progression and treatment evaluation in major diseases such as neurodegeneration, stroke, heart failure, atherosclerosis and autoimmune diseases.
  • ClinigeneThe goal of this Network of Excellence is to foster clinical research in gene therapy. It aims at establishing reliable gene transfer protocols and defining quality, safety, efficacy and morally acceptable standards for clinical gene transfer products.
  • STEMS aims at evaluating the feasibility and limits of cellular therapy for brain stroke.
  • Xenome aims at evaluating the therapeutic potential of xenografts for the treatment of several diseases including Parkinson’s disease.

Framework Program 7 (FP7)

  • NeuroStemcell The goal of this European large-scale integrating project is to develop stem cell-based therapies for Parkinson´s disease and Huntington´s disease toward clinical application.
  • Neugene aims at developing viral vectors to promote targeted and regulated gene transfer for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
  • GeneParkaims at determining gene expression profiles specific for genetic and idiopathic Parkinson's disease patients and correlate them with neuroimaging alterations
