The platforms of the CRC MIRCen are complementary and provide cutting-edge equipments. Support teams composed of experienced researchers, engineers and technicians manage the platforms to provide optimal functioning. These platforms can be operated in biological safety level 1, 2 or 3 environments.
The platforms of CRC MIRCen are dedicated to the exploration and validation of concepts and preclinical evaluation of new gene-, cell- or drug- based therapeutic strategies. The know-how of its support teams and platforms are available for research projects from academia and industry, primarily on topics related to neurodegenerative diseases for which existing methodologies can be used. Other projects focusing on infectious, hepatic and cardiac diseases may be considered. The feasibility of the projects on such topics may require the development of complementary expertise, particularly in terms of MRI and PET methods.
