Imaplant
In 2008 the platform received the “IBISA label”
It was the first platform in plant experimentation to obtain the IBISA label which recognizes the capacity of these facilities to be an open research tool in collaboration or contract with external partenairs. We also obtained on this occasion the financing of an innovative project, IMAPLANT (2009-2012). This project is also financed by the CEA, CNRS and the PACA Regional Council.
The purpose is to develop an original quantitative tool for addressing the temporal and spatial dynamics of phenotypic variation of shoot functions related to plant productivity. This will require an implementation of a microclimate, mimicking natural fluctuations, together with remote sensing of growth related traits. This project begun in 2009 represents a important technological gap and is a great challenge. The first item to be studied are a new light source based on LEDs and determination of tthe chamber geometry in order to optimize their thermal regulation.
