Quality policy

The GRAP develops a quality management system in order to be ISO9001v2000 certified for its “technical support” activities (experiment realization related to the research programs of the DEVM) and also for “external services” within the framework of contracts with external partners. It is in keeping with in the quality policy of the CEA stated in the handbook of quality of the CEA (2001 edition). The french version of the handbook of quality of the GRAP can be download.

Experiment preparation
The definition of the needs of the "customer" (experimental conditions, vegetable matter transformed, report, …) is established by successive contacts and translated into technical requirements for the GRAP. These elements are formalized on ad hoc forms (procedure of experiment preparation in measuring chambers) for each experimentation. These recordings are filed. These elements are supplemented by drafting specifications and then by signature of a contract of services for the external services (program agencies, industrialists,…).

Documentation
The system of organization set up is described in a precise way at the operational level in procedures, instructions, lists, plan. All these documents constitute the base of the document management system. The rules of management are defined in the procedure of control of the documents. Approximately 130 documents are consultable on paper medium or data processing via a base of data in self-service.

Monitoring and measurements
The maintenance of the experimental conditions of the installation is ensured by a control-command system piloted by the supervision software “In Touch™”. This system takes a part in the control procedure by the transmission of computing alarms reflected by remote-call 24h/24h towards the personnel on call. This one is trained and has documents adapted and up to date to operate (security instructions, alarm list, maps). The procedure of control also includes daily and weekly morning and pre night controls described in the operating modes. The reliability of the installation is reinforced by a computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS - MAXIMO software). It allows the follow-up of the infrastructures (equipment) as well as the implementation of procedures of  monitoring by automatic sending of work sheet, corrective and preventive actions, guaranteeing the metrological quality of our installation and equipment.

Traceability
The supervision software guaranties the traceability of the experimental conditions by archiving the values of all the controlled parameters. The CMMS software ensures the traceability of the actions of maintenance and calibration of the equipment. This traceability is also ensured by the laboratory handbook, and the recording of controls and preventive and curative maintenance, on forms with manual visa.

Training
All the people of the GRAP followed a training of sensitizing to quality in research.
