Welcome to iBiTec-S

  
  iBiTec-S is a multidisciplinary institute of about fifty research groups that include biologists, biophysicists and chemists working on fundamental and applied research projects. Its mission is to associate together research around  strategic themes for the CEA:

 
 
  • Energy
  • Defense and security
  • Information technology and global technologies for health.

    		•
      Within this general framework, research at the institute focuses on biosecurity, nuclear toxicology and environmental issues, radiobiology, and biological and/or biomimetic energy production. Scientific expertise at iBiTec-S covers a wide variety of disciplines, from chemistry, bioenergetics, protein biochemistry to DNA, genetics, cellular, molecular and structural biology.
