Welcome to the site of the International PhD Program of the Life Sciences division of the CEA
The CEA is an internationally recognized research organization that benefits from a hybrid engineering and researcher culture that allows synergies between basic research and technological innovation.
The mission of the life sciences division of CEA is to bring technological innovation to two major social issues : energy and health. To develop these research axes, the DSV’s teams use a variety of approaches, including the state-of-the-art approaches : biochemistry, structural biology, cell biology, chemistry, protein engineering, "omics", biomedical imaging, animal models and therapies.
The International PhD Program, created by the life sciences division of the CEA is designed for students wishing to make a thesis in one of its research teams. 20 to 25 funding will be awarded during the 2012 recruitment session.
This program, centered around existing groups of excellence and high-tech platforms, works in collaboration with local Doctoral Schools and Universities to offer students a high level doctoral training. Students enrolled in the Doctoral Program of the CEA follow a course in English offered by the Institut National des Sciences et Techniques Nucléaires (INSTN, Saclay) to introduce them to the professional world.
Research groups from the Paris region (Evry, Fontenay-aux-Roses, Orsay and Saclay), Rhône-Alpes (Grenoble), Basse-normandie (Caen), Languedoc-Roussillon (Marcoule), and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (Cadarache) participate in this program.
